Jump in, the water is warm!
After you’ve signed up for an account and logged in, set up a new composition from the Workshop page. You should then be taken to the newly created composition. Try “drawing” some notes with the Quill tool (Q) near the beginning of the canvas on the left, press ⌘← to set the cursor to the beginning of the composition, and then press space or the play button to hear them. You can also switch to the Select tool by pressing V and click anywhere to move your cursor. While the select tool is active, drag a rectangle on the canvas to select all the notes inside of the rectangle.
⚠️ Important: saving your work
There is currently no autosave feature. You should save your work often by pressing ⌘S, or by pressing the Sync button in the title bar. Whenever the Sync button shows a little yellow dot, it means you have unsaved changes.
You can connect your MIDI keyboards if you wish to use them to input notes.
Now, head over to the next pages to learn about how Clavierist work. Or just have a play and figure things out on your own – either way, have fun!
